Twyford Comets Football Club

Founded in 1972, Twyford Comets has an excellent reputation with local football leagues, clubs and football organisations for being a strong, family orientated club with the development of players at the centre of everything we do.

We provide a safe and friendly environment for junior football to the local community, fielding around 20 teams every weekend, including three girls teams, from under 7 all the way up through the age groups to under 18 playing in various local leagues.

We also cater for younger children with our Saturday Morning Soccer School which meets at King George V Recreation Ground in Twyford and provides a fun and excellent start to the etiquette and skills of the game before moving into organised league football at under 7 and under 8 age groups.

We have also been an FA Charter Standard Club since 2007 – this ensures that every team has at least one FA level 1 qualified coach assigned to it who is responsible for the development of the team and the well-being of the individual players.

Our strong ties with the Community Team at Reading Football Club provide other opportunities for our players and coaches to develop their skills in football.
